About Us
Not Your Typical Bridal Story
At Wynter Isabelle Bridal, our story is anything but ordinary — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
From Dream to Dress Shop
Founded by Jess, a bridal stylist who has almost two decades of experience as a bridal consultant, the dream of owning her own store started young — think sketching wedding dresses at age 7 and planning a bridal floor plan at age 9.
On 3rd September 2016, her 30th birthday, that dream came to life. Jess and her husband, Gareth, 8 weeks prior bought a derelict building at the end of their street that became Wynter Isabelle Bridal: Phase One.
The Heart Behind the Name
The store is named after their daughter, Wynter Isabelle, who was born just six months before it opened. A true miracle baby, Wynter didn’t just inspire the name — she became the heart and soul of everything we do.
Now almost 10, she’s already joining Jess on buying trips, falling in love with the bridal world herself.
Achievements
Introduced in-house alterations
Offered occasion wear
Expanded by acquiring the building next door
Welcomed David Emanuel, designer of Princess Diana’s gown, to style our brides
Named Bridal Retailer of the Year for Wales
But behind every milestone, there’s a story of resilience.
We’ve rebuilt after a car crashed into our newly renovated store. We’ve endured pandemic closures. Jess has undergone multiple surgeries since opening and through it all, Wynter Isabelle Bridal stands strong as one of South Wales’ leading bridal stores.
And the journey hasn’t stopped there.
Jess and Gareth's second business, GreenBrick Group, has continued to thrive — winning multiple ‘Fastest Growing Business in the Vale’ awards since launching in 2019.
A Voice for Women's Health
Jess is passionate advocate for women’s health, drawing from her own experiences as a gynaecological condition sufferer. Her openness and insight have even helped several brides seek diagnosis and treatment for conditions like endometriosis. Her story of resilience and success was recently published in the 365 Project book, which shares the journeys of inspiring women in business who’ve overcome adversity with strength and determination.
There’s more to the store than dresses — and plenty of stories to tell.
